卖 象
一位商人正等着出售一头大象。这时，有个男人走到大象跟前，仔细端详着这头象。商人悄悄在他的耳旁说道：“你千万别说出大象的缺点，等这头象一出手，我就会给你好处的。”这男人说: “好吧。”
卖出大象后，商人把卖象所得的十分之一给了那个人，然后问道：“现在，你能告诉我你是怎么看出这头象的左前腿有毛病的吗？我还觉得这毛病十分椅呢。”
“我什么也没看出来。”此人回答。
“那你为什么那么认真仔细地观察每个部位？”
“因为我从来没见过大象，想知道大象是什么样的。”

after the elephant had been sold, the merchanl gave him one-tenth of the price he had got for it, saying,“no of the elephant? i thought it ish.”said the man.
“then why did you look so carefully at every part of the elephant?”
“because i’d never seen one before, and wanted to know what they were like.”
