    草叶集 第二章（2）

    interchange it youths s of maple and a bunch of e and chestnut,

    and stems of currants and plum?blo, point to or touch as i pass, or thro to each one iving something to each;

    but ive of it, but only to them that love as i myself am capableof loving.

    只是些根和叶而已

    roots and leaves

    themselves alone

    这些，只不过是些根和叶而已，

    是从老林野塘边采撷而来的香味，献给男人和女人，

    爱情的石竹花和酢浆草，比藤蔓纠结得更紧的手指，

    太阳东升，绿阴遮掩下的小鸟亮开嗓子，喷涌而出的歌，

    陆地与友爱的微风轻拂，从活跃的海岸吹向你们，吹向活跃在海上的你们这些水手，

    经历寒霜而成熟的浆果，还有三月发出的嫩芽献给初春时节漫步于田野的年轻人，

    不管你是谁，爱的蓓蕾呈现在你面前或是在心里，

    依旧会绽放的花蕾，

    若是你给予他们太阳般的温暖，他们就会吐蕊，带给你形态、颜色和馥郁，

    若是你成为养料和水分，他们就会绽开花朵，结出果实，长出枝丫，成为树林。
